clutch engaging squeal?
when engaging the clutch from a stop it does a little squeal its real annoying! could this be caused by a broken motor mount? or possible a poorly aligned clutch? some advice pls!

not possitive but id say its your clutch going out if thats whats making the noise. could also be a worn pressure plate or throw out bearing. what ever it is its gonna cost alot and be time consuming.

From my experience squeals are from the throw out bearing. It is probably on the way out. When you let go of the clutch and the car starts moving you are taking the pressure off the TOB, as it slows down it is squealing. Look at the tranny whining thread for more info :icon_tup:

yeah its a new clutch pressure plate and throw out bearing (1000 k or so), the clutchs hooks up even spins the wheels in second if im givin'r and im running 225 50R16 dunlop sport a2. happens mostly when excellerating from a stop, not really noticable when down shifting but i dont put it in 1st unless im stopped. come on just tell me its a broken motor mount, pleease! :)

I have the exact same problem. Brand new clutch flywheel T/O, t2 tranny with about 15k, pilot bearing has about 5k on it. This problem started before the motor and drivetrain swap and has steadily gotten worse. I've talk to people about it they are telling me it might be the syncros. But I haven't found anyone who knows for sure.

Are you running a 6-puck clutch?
All copper/ceramic clutches squeal some. Check out the first start up in my Deal's Gap video. You can hear the clutch. Turn up the volume & enjoy: link to 10 minute video |
we're having that issue....................this clutch has been used and abused............and my mechanic friend says the Throwout baring is going out...........what kind of damage can a bad Throw-out-bearing cause if not replace BEFORE it breaks?
