Clutch emergency
clutch is going out fast. i dont think it will last 2 more weeks. money is limited. i have found a stage 2 clutch http://www.rx7store.net/ShoppingCart.asp? i need to know if i must buy a flywheel with this at the same time. or if i can install the clutch and in a few weeks install a flywheel? suggestions? comments?
please help |
make sure the flywheel's surfacehas no major defects while your replacing the clutch.

We all can't see your shopping cart, you need to post a direct link to the clutch.
Why do you need a stage 2 clutch, are you turbo or n/a? Stock replacement Exedys are cheap on ebay. You don't need a flywheel, but you should get yours resurfaced from a competent machine shop. |

Agreed. The clutch is like brakes, it's best if you replace or refinish both surfaces at the same time. Resurfacing the flywheel is probably the best/cheapest option.

I assume you are looking at the spec clutch. I would ask around about them, I have never used one but I have heard quite a few bad reviews of them. I would recommend an ACT clutch, and don't get any more clutch than you need else you may regret it.
