Clutch advice
 

It's an 88 GXL, 5 speed, I was out of the country when I had a new motor put in, so I had the clutch replaced, well I wasn't specific so the guy put in an ACT 4 puck street. Well it grips really good, I actually thought something was wrong with it, so I took it to a transmission place, the guy there told me there was nothing wrong with it and to keep driving it normal. My question is, there is alot of jerking on the driveline while letting out the pedal, can this hurt anything? And is there any tactic that I should be using, I was told do anything but dump it.

well i dont think it would be real good for it but cant see it doing an real damage, just let it out slower its a new clutch you probably just have to get used to it.

the problem is, is that with the 4 and 6 puck clutches are pretty much on or off. and they are normaly not very streetable, however if they still have dampener springs then it should be ok. the jerking wil eventually cause some issues with the driveline, u-joints and possibly gears in the tranny. the only advise i can give is that if it is hard to get going from 1st gear try starting off in 2nd. the clutch will slip more, and you may have a smoother start. just dont do it too much because you will heat up the friction material and ruin the new clutch.

more like eat your pressure plate and flywheel.
