clicking relays + Buzzing

I have 2 problems with my car currently

the fuel pump relay(the one close to the passenger headlight) just keeps clicking whil the key is in the accessory position...what does this mean ? Is the relay bad ? Is it no detecting something ?

also, whenever I put my key in the accessory position there is a large buzzing. At first, I thought it was because the water level sensor was not grounded, but I grounded it and the buzzing still exists.

Car is a 1990 TII

thank you in advance

When you hear the clicking near the passenger headlight try disconnecting the plug to the relay and see if it stops the clicking and if it does then you know exactly the origin of the clicking. If the clicking continues then you know the relay which you speak of is not the source of the clicking. It's important to completely narrow down the source of the clicking before trying to remedy the problem. There was another poster complaining of the same issue and it was actually his BAC that was doing the clicking and not the fuel pump relay.

You say this relay clicks w/the key in the ACC position. Does this occur before the car is started, after it's started or both. This particular relay is not supposed to be receiving voltage w/key to ACC. How this is happening is puzzling under normal circumstances.

Look at post #166 in the link and it depicts the Circuit Opening relay. It's an S4 relay but is similar to the S5 with the exception of the Blue wire. On your set up it should be Blue/Red. This relay is located under the dash and just to the right of the steering wheel. With key to ACC check the Blue/Red wire for voltage as well as the Black/White wire.
