I heard using steam cleaners is the way to go.

Brakleen or your local shops cheaper equivalent. Don't be shy about using it, just spray it down till it drips and all the crap will drip right off with it. DO NOT spray it on rubber or plastic. It's a good idea to rinse off the stuff you spray too...

And if you feel a little high after using it for a little while... Thats normal... ;)

Or if you really wanna get it cleaned out, Simple Green is the way to go, but this is better to use if you don't have the motor in your car cause you have to scrub with it. But it'll get everything really well.
