I have searched and found the thread in the archives, but the schematic is gone. Does anyone have it and can post it here?

no dumbass, i have a summit adjustable rpm switch, that way he doesnt have to make one....

lol u never said u had a summit SWITCH :P but calm down, i was only poken fun at ya.... but id like a diagram too if anyone has one. It would give me something to do when i get bored when school starts...

Here's mine, scroll down to "RPM Signals" - the control board's what you want.

Rev to the RPM you want it to switch at, press the button, and it remembers from then on. The design files and source code are there, but you need a programmer to flash the microcontroller, so I would only recommend it if you're into electronics and want to get into microcontrollers too.
