I have an 88 GXL (na). I might be willing to sell it if i can turn around and get an S4 kit... if not im gonna have to try an S5 AFM.

EDIT: i also won a flywheel lock, which i sold to Ice Mark (good to meet you finally, Mark) and a rotor shaped oil cap. lol

just get a AFM adapter from autozone and put ti on

idsigloo 10-28-06 09:53 PM

If you seriously wanted to sell it I don't think I would post how much you paid for it...

well im not serious about selling it yet, and it doesn't matter what i paid for it if the going rate is much higher. Thanks for the concern though.

yea im curious on that also?

Sideways7 10-28-06 10:43 PM

I don't know about autozone carrying them, but I know you can get the adapter through numerous online shops, or cheap-o ones on ebay.

clubber 10-28-06 10:43 PM

I bought an AFM adaptor with a K&N style filter on Ebay for $35. The filter was junk but I got the adaptor I wanted. If NAPA has them, that would probably be the cheaper way to go but you don't have to change AFM's.

eddierotary 10-28-06 10:53 PM

i dont know is theres a difference on the diameter of the opening on your intake but i believe the only dff will be that the S4 need a adapter and the S5 you dont and autozone sell AFM adapter because my friend brought one for his S4 not long ago with a K&N filter and it works good

fcboy89 10-28-06 10:56 PM

wait the hks intakes suck?, like in terms or performance and shit?

Sideways7 10-28-06 11:00 PM

In terms of performance, basically any intake will yield about the same results, but the difference is filtering quality. The HKS filter doesn't filter as well as other units like the K&N and Apexi ones.

moonless 10-28-06 11:14 PM

I'm in agreement the hks filter sucks as far as filtering goes it glogs faster then any thing out there and is a bitch to clean my freind had the same filter on his mr2
