It seems like it could work with our cars, since is is fully adjustable.

Plus is is 160 amp, and coming from MSD should be good quality.

Any thoughts?

looks good but im not sure how well those single wire alts work with our car. and u may also have fab a bracket for it too.

they have multi wired versions as well. Im gunna measure everything when I get home tonight. I cant see why it wouldnt mount to the lower bracket just fine. My only concern would be the distance between centers on the mounting holes.

Spec sheet says that full output occurs between 6000 and 6500 alternator rpm's. With stock pulleys from the FC-1.8:1 ratio that translates into 3333-3600 rpm. You may need to underdrive it-many high output alternators have these same exact requirements.

I would definitely NOT go with the one-wire style. Spec sheet says they are self-exciting, so you have to rev them to get the alternator to start charging.

If you do go one wire, pay close attention to the charging wire chart. If you don't respect this, the alternator will not charge the battery to full voltage. Thats just how one-wire alternators work.

Good Luck and let us know how it works.
