check engine, code 13
any of u ever had this it says Pressure Sensor(intake manifold) in the book. shoudl i just replace that sensor? or am i gettign thi spossibly because of a vacuum leak?
|
What that means is that the ECU is detecting either an open or short circuit on the sense wire from the sensor. The sensor itself is on the passenger side strut tower on the front. I would check the plug first to make sure you don't have a connector problem. I would then check to make sure you have 5V reference voltage at the plug and a good ground. I would then check if you have a voltage reading of 2-3V at the plug(ignition on, engine off). If you do, you have a broken wire somewhere. If not, the sensor is probably bad.

thanks keith' s dad
but is it the same way for a series 5???
on the same code??? and how to go about it?? |
Ever unplug it? If so, while the key is in, you'll get that message. I intentionally did that one so I could make sure I was getting the codes right ;).

This discussion was for a series 5. A series 4 ECU has no code 13, and, even if it did, it has no way to store it and no check engine light to read it out with (when it is happening). Have fun!
