Changing Wiper Blades?

its rainy season..(well its Been raining alot lately)

and my wiper blades in the front suck... i went to walmart and saw they got these like Blades which come with the arm... my questions is how do i swap the wiper blades?

i looked at the wiper arm and noticed there is a rivet that holds it on.. how do i go about doing this..

i know alot of you have done this.. so lets hear em..

and before anybody goes off on me.. yes i already did search... seem to only find problems on the Switch...

thanks

Do you mean the whole wiper arm or just the insert with the metal part?

The wiper detaches from the arm without tools. It snaps off. You can also just change the rubber insert but it's a little more time consuming and the insert doesn't always fit into the wiper.

If you don't know, most auto parts stores will install it for you for free. But come on, that's easy and you are an RX7 owner for god sakes.

i dont want to buy the refill.. its like the wiper with this metal thing attached... t he whole assembly attaches to the wiper arm...didnt mean to confuse anybody... btw it doesnt seem like it snaps off..

Flip it over, there should be a button where it attaches, push it and slip it out.

You can buy either the inserts or the entire wiper assembly. It's safer to buy the entire assembly, as these "kits" have extra hardware to adapt to almost any stock wiper arm.

I prefer the Triple Edge Silicone wiper blades, as these have lifetime guarantees! I've had them on my FC for a few years, and they will definitely outlast any rubber wiper blade. I had them on my FC in Vegas heat for over 2 years with very little sign of degradation. I recommend them to all my friends. My gf's '99 Corolla has them, and they have been working flawlessly for the past 2 years in Hawaii.

The only downide to them is that due to the long length of the FC (driver) side wiper, the blade pressure on the windshield is not perfect. You get slight streaks sometimes, but this is a minor inconvenience for a wiper that will outlast the car...

I've found that you have to fiddle with It and apply alittle force...Sorry to digress, but Is anyone running PIAA's version? Regards?
