cd stacker

Anybody know the best place to install a stacker in a 7? I was going to put it in the glovebox, but it's looking a little tight. Any suggestions??

Please post when you find a way, so you can save me some time when I install one of these :)

I was planning on putting a pioneer 6 cd changer in the glove box (was the smalles cd changer I could find). Is a tight fit and will take slight modification of the changer of the glove box. Had to send the one back I bought and I haven't gotten the next one yet.

I think alpine and eclipse both make CD changers that would fit in the dash location (although the alpine one is only a 3 disc changer).

On the coupes; the larger 6 disc changers and anything bigger I always put in the passengers storage bin (vertically) so that I can reach it from the drivers seats.

Blau makes a 1 DIN 5 disc changer, a google with that for the keyword will display pics.

Bins behind the seats i'd think (lockable too!)

The previous owner of my car had dual changers mounted through the fiberglass in the back in front of the bins. Looks like shit now b/c he didn't leave the changers in the car!

Oh well. It would've worked for what he had planned. I don't use changers, so I will fix the holes later.

I have a Sony CDX-646 mounted right behind the passenger's seat (against the bulkhead) in a vertical position. It fits well and doesn't affect adjustibility of the seat. My ride's a '91 N/A.

I took out the carpet of the pass bin and made a flat "fake" bottom out of wood and covered it with new carpet. I just used the holes in the bin that hold the carpet to screw through into the wood. so I can go back to stock if I wanted to. fit a 6 disc. the changer is mounted to the wood with the brackets it came with.

In my Vert..........

I have a 10 disc changer mounted vertically in the trunk, a well under the carpet. This is, if you had a non-vert, where you would otherwise put the spare tire.

Out of sight, protected, and you don't loose any storage space.

If in a non-vert or FB, mount it in the lock-able bins behind the seat. Again, out of sight, protected and don't loose much storage if vertically mounted.
