Which cats and catback

Just bought 88gtu. I want to upgrade my exhaust and keep my 6 ports working. I need some advice on which cats and cat backs to get. I also want to keep my stock exhaust manifold. Any ideas would be great.

If you wanna keep the cats go with a RB catback, if you've got the money. Borla is pretty good, too. If you just want to swap the cats in come inspection time, you can get the RB "downpipe" and presilencer, which will bolt to the stock catback and exhaust manifold, or the RB catback...that is if you intend to keep the stock exhaust manifold. The presilencer has a pick up tube for the split air pipe, which will activate the 5th and 6th ports on your S4.

As far as cats go, I'm not sure. I think the main cat is a 3-way, so it will need a bung with a flange to bolt to your split air pipe.

Good luck, other people with different setups than I just posted will probably reply, too.

PS: FWIW, I have the full RB system on my S4 NA, and I think it's great. Not ricey, not loud, smooth and opens up in the higher RPM's. But again, it's a lot of money, which is why I bought the parts seperately, over the course of about a year.

If the person does wanna go with a RB setup http://www.rx7.com has the RB Header to a Bonez cat for all you emission peeps.

But I just re-read the first post and oops! Bonez also has the superflo system as does RB (as Spot has stated above). All Bonez products are located at http://www.rx7.com

It'll bolt up to a cat-back of your choice.
