Caster - adjustment - Drift-related.
 

Hello, I have a difficult question that needs answering.

Issue: Passenger Left side facing (Front *RHD*) seems to have more caster then the driver side, I have knuckles, rods/ends spacers, and PBM coil-overs.

Having 6" inner barrels and I cannot go full lock of the passenger side without hitting the Lower control arm. *RHD Drivers side* while the other-side has zero issues.


QUESTION
Is it safe for me to adjust one side for caster on my coil-overs by turning the top to adjust for caster. PBM has holes I just need to loosen to top and turn it to the correct side (Forward adjustment)


I've seen pictures of cars with caster on one side and none on the other, but would you guys recommend this or will there be negative consequences, as Too much adjustment (pulling or binding/twisting)

you did the alignment at a shop and they couldn't answer the question?
cars with factory caster adjustments get only one side adjusted to match the other side all the time.

I didn't get my work done at a shop.

I purchased and installed PBM Pro coil-overs ,kakmo Knuckles (Modded stock S5) uras tie rods and GP sport Angle kit (spacers+tie-rod ends) Aluminum hubs and new LCA bushings.


I can do my own adjustment I just don't know how others adjust for caster like in my situation, 99% of users adjust both MAX to the front for clearance of the LCA.

Where I'm from there is one guy that does alignments right and it's expensive I just need caster adjustment to take my driver side wheel forward to match the left side: Possible? or safe?

Only thing that adjusts is my coil over top plate which would leave me with one tilted inward toward the cabin and the other facing straight toward the strut tower. Is this safe, I've never seen this done on other cars, that's why I need help.

Didn't read correctly: asking how to adjust and if it's safe to do one side, not how to pay someone to.
LCA = NO Caster adjusment
Tie rod = NO
aftermarket coilover = YES S5-T2

Passenger side hits LCA under Full lock and drivers doesn't due to it being more forward.

Yes, you can adjust just the one side for caster, but due to the nature of an S5 and coilover caster adjustment it doesn't allow for full movement to get a noticeable change.

Issue may lye within Modified knuckles and grinding of mount points as cast parts do vary with machining as well as LCA. Due to some regulations your car should be adjusted to pull against traffic in case of an accident and usually caster is a simple defined measure to cope.



Overall it's better to adjust both the same and change wheel/tire setup to suit needs but this issue is only here due to lack of camber adjustment.
