Carb Cleaner

I found some of this in my garage and decided to put it to good use.

I have not opened up the engine to see the effects of it, but I think that it would probably be of good use.

I have a friend who swears by it and uses it to clean his piston-machine all the time.

What I did was take the air intake off and run the car...

Spray some of it in the intake and up the throttle while doing so.

Keep this up for a few minutes.

Let the car idle for a bit.

Presto! A carb clean engine! Probably won't FULLY clean it out, but does anyone know if this would be a practical way of somewhat cleaning the carbon deposits off the rotors?

If you want to clean the carbon off get some amsol power foam, or some marvel mistery oil (snake oil)

Yeah... I use MMO as well.

umm. question. the MMO.. is it good stuff? how does it work? add to fuel?

does it really work for cleaning carbon of the rotor's and seals?

just curious

carbon cleansing is very important

i got parts from an apex seal'd 13b (couldnt quite spit the seal out the exhaust port ;) what a mess)

anyways, you wouldnt BELIEVE the carbon buildup on the rotor combusion section there.. there was TONS of it

it was so build up i couldnt even steam clean it off, i had to wire brush it away.

No to use MMO (marvel mistery oil), you have to pour it in your spark plug holes, then your turn the motor so that the next rotor face is there and put some in it. And you can also put it in your oil, fuel, but I wouldn't do that. The best stuff for carbon removal is amsol power foam, or so I have heard.
