Car won't start

I just bought 86 gxl rx7. First off the clutch pedal sticks all the way back wondering what I need to do to fix this, also car won't turn over, "crank" can anyone give me any suggestions

Wont turn over as in crank or will crank and not start?

Check clutch hydraulics. Also, check clutch interlock switch (or bypass it) Does the car do nothing, click, starter cranking? or ??

Doesn't do anything, no clicking or crank.

Check the wiring running to the starter first

Well, if it's an issue w/ you clutch master and/or slave cylinder not engaging, the car won't start.

Not true, all the car wants to see, is that the clutch switch is working. If its working, or bypassed, it should allow you to complete the starter circuit. If bypassed, it is possible to crank with the car in gear and bot have the clutch depressed.

First thing i would do is get under the car and check to see if youre getting a 12v signal to the starter solenoid when a friend tries to start the car. If you are time to look at the starter, if not work backwards through the starting circuit.

I will try thanks
