Car wont run!!! I need help

I just bought another 87 GXL and it wont run. It turns over and sputters like it wants to start but it wont. Also it keeps flooding and fauling the spark plugs. Anyone know what wrong with my car? I am all out of ideas. I thought maybe the fuel injectors are bad or maybe the precat is clogged but I have no idea. Please Help I need to get back on the road.
Thanks for the help Dave

P.S. The car has 181,000 on it. Could it have a bad Apex? The guy I bought it from said it ran fine then just started flooding and fauling plugs. It has been sitting for about a year.

Sounds like the injectors are very dirty and leaking. Did you do a compression test yet? Then try pouring in a little motor oil in each of the trailing plug holes and then crank it. Oil is a necessity for a rotary to run. If it has been flooding a lot, then all that gas has washed out the oil, affecting sealing of the engine. It could just need injectors. Once they start leaking they are crap. Don't be discouraged by the amount of time its been sitting, 2 out of the 4 RX7's I've owned were sitting for more than a year.

Thanks I will send the injectors out to rc engineering then. I am also going to try ATF trick see if that works and add a fuel cut off switch. The plugs are labeled T1 T2 (is that for top or trailing) also the others are labeled L1 L2 (is that for lower or trailing) Thanks for the help Dave

D.J. .....there is a free download of the factory manual at the following http://www.fc3s.org/ or http://www.iluvmyrx7.com/ T is for trailing, L is for lead. The number 1 rotor is in front and the number two rotor is........
