car turns on and idles for about 10 seconds, then dies

this just recently started, a few days ago it would start and idle just fine, but when in gear and driving the fuel would randomly cut until the engine was warmed up, everytime it happens i hear a clicking under the dash,

is it safe to assume its my fuel pump relay?

and should i upgrade my fuel pump relay to an ebay relay which will give me 40 extra horsepower and 10+mpg more?

seriously though, my fuel pump relay is crapped out, right?

Where under the dash did you find that? I am experiencing something similiar.

it was right above the gas pedal i believe, i was upside down with my feet sticking out my sunroof though, so i might be a few inches off, but it slides onto a sheet metal bracket thats bolted to something or another, and then theres a plug dangling near by that plugs into it

thats the curcuit opening relay. It controls the power to the fuel pump, and control the action on the main relay.

you hear a click? and then it dies?

i think i had something like that happen a few times when i was piecing my together. most of my problems were caused by a bad air flow meter. so i dont know if its related.
