car starts but wont stay on
i started my car one afternoon and decided after a couple minutes to turn it off, i added coolant and i accidently spilled some on the connection of the tps to the harness. afterwards, i started the car and it started fine for 30 seconds then the rpm started to drop, barely responding to the gas pedal. i did this a couple times and decided that i would diconnect my tps and the other connections around it to let them dry. after 2 days i connected everything again and it still did the same thing. anyone know what it could be? what i should check/test first? or direct me to a thread regarding this.

set TPS to 1K ohm (slot screw w/ spring) when engine is off &warmed, then set idle.
to keep engine alive to warm up/set tps&idle -- back idle screw all the way out. edit: Not responding to gass pedel? something is mechanicaly wrong, or the TPS is shot... search on how to test tps. |
