Car leaking Coolant, wont start...after 20 degree night...
 

Ok so I wake up and my girl says to me hey babe your car is leaking antifreeze...

My first thought is OH SHIZZ nooooooo...

So I'm freaking out and I'm like ok there's 50/50 in the motor so there shouldn't be a crack in the block anywhere. I go outside and look under the car and it seems it was all leaking from the actual radiator. Under the block was totally dry... but then I thought to myself, wait we have coolant seals in the block... FUGGG!!!

So I cranked it up to see if it would start and Ka-Blamo it started right up, BUT the AnitFreeze coolant warning light came on saying to add coolant... That's what freaked me out, only because the reservoir is full of coolant, but obviously if there was a spill the car not being on wont circulate the coolant.

So I say ok lets pour some coolant in the radiator and run the car so it can circulate. I go to crank the car and nothing...just spins and spins and spins. Doesn't start at all.

Any immediate ideas? Also what's worst case scenario guys and gals?

Good chance you flooded it if you turned it off immediately after starting it up.

pressure test your coolant system if you've got the money to buy the tool.

Verify that the overflow is not leaking.

Verify that the radiator is not leaking when the car is not on. Pour coolant into the radiator. Make sure it does not leak.

Pull both EGI fuses and crank the engine for a lil bit. That should clear up your flooding.

Start the engine and see if it's leaking around the block, maybe look at the water pump and underneath it.

That's all I can think of right now.
