take the carpet off the back of the hatch. there will be a panel to the left, unscrew it and your fuel tank will be under there( take the negative battery cable off) and then pull the feed hose off of the fuel pump. after that unscrew all the screws and look around in the fuel tank...i had a nasty slush looking shit in there. this stuff will get clogged in the fuel pump filter on the fuel pump(pump sock) i went ahead and used a fish scooper to scoop all the shit out and then ordered a walboro 255 fuel pump. that should take this problem away

ditto... also there is a plug under the car on the fuel tank. you can unscrew that and drain your tank. makes it easier to get junk and washes away some of the rust that might be in there.

does no one read anymore???

Same subject asked yesterday.

and covered in the FAQ for FC sticky thread found at the top of this, the 2nd gen RX-7 technical section.

Common problem... dirty fuel pump sock.

Clean or replace the sock.

Almost never do you need to replace the pump (well unless you like throwing money away).

Please read the FAQ for FC sticky thread before posting!!!!!!!!!!!
