Car flooded and had to deflood to start and now backfires on decel help plz

I was messing around with my intake and adjusting it and after i was done i went to start the car and it wouldnt start. I had to deflood it to get it to start up.

Then after starting it up and driving its now backfiring on decel alot like it has in the past before. The problem has been there before but it went away but now after messing with the intake it has come back along with making my car flood and not want to start initially ( at least i think this is the cause)

What could possibly be the problem my car has ? Its some kind of wiring problem like an intermittent connection that is going in and out coming back and going away, but does anyone know what it could be or how i could diagnose the problem ?

did you mess with the timing of the ignition?

no i didnt mess with the timing. its been the same and never been changed since it was set.

i think its probably the throttle position sensor or something to do with it

i already cleaned and tightened up all the grounds so i know thats not the problem. ive had the problem before it just keeps coming back and going away.

it probably is making my car run way richer because it will backfire anytime i am shifting (down or up) , letting off the throttle, and decelling it just constantly backfires " pop , pop , pop etc" , of course it depends how long you are decelling for i cant really stand hearing it for long because it sounds like shit so i try to do it as little as possible lol

check with your AFM plug if it is snugged and also
i think it is your TPS did you mess with it?

I have a s5 and when i changed my TPS and didnt adjust it i would back fire every shift and every time im decelling as well. my fix was a TPS adjustment.

but yeah check out your AFM wires.

i am wondering if maybe the tps is just whacky where it works for a while fine then starts messing up then works again, electronics are weird.

I know it does it more at certain rpms it seems surely, so thats how i am pretty sure its a tps problem
