car doesn't start after getting gas
So far after premixing twice I've had to pop start my 1988 rx7 and it's always after normal driving, nothing crazy and I premix, and fill up with 87 but after that it doesn't want to start. Recently changed spark plugs. Any ideas?

usually this is a hot starting issue, time to do a compression test.

It just depends but at least 90 is good.

i give it a little less and say 80 is a minimum, you actually usually won't see starting issues until the low 70's or even 60's.
120-130 being a perfect score for comparison. |
Fuel Cut
Check out threads about hot start. There are a few ways to get around this issue. I had it with my car stock and then with RTEK and had to use a fuel cut switch to get it started during hot start after car was warm. Now I have an adaptronic and it has features built in to take care of this automatically. Some say it a low compression or fuel injector leak issue as well. But if ya dont want to rebuild right away the cheap way is to cut the fuel when cranking with a switch and it will crank over.. just my .02 Good luck with this!
