The car is almost ready; BUT...
the fuel pump isn't getting any electricity!!
i checked it with a meter, and there is nothing going to the pump at all... the car sat for 2 years prior, so maybe its a rotten wire? its also possible that something in the engine bay harness was not plugged in or plugged properly.. is that a possibility? I'm not to sure where those wires run.. btw, this is not my 13bppt for those of you who will ask.. haha i wish it was though:lol: anyways, any help would be appreciated! thanks! |
Standard electrical troubleshooting applies.
Start from the end of the circuit. You have already checked the pump for 12V so we can skip that. Now check the circuit opening relay under the dash, and the resistor relay if this is a TII. No 12V there? Check at the main EFI relay. Remember, the pump only operates when the engine is running or cranking, so you will need to jump the yellow test connector at the passenger shock tower to activate the pump anytime the key is set to RUN. |
alright i figured it out.
thanks aaron! |
And the problem was? So that other people may be helped....

oh it was just me being an idiot.. haha
i forgot that i had a fuel pump cutoff switch because the car was sitting for 2 years.. so it was off and i didn't realize it.. I slept on it, and then it occurred to me what it was.. |
