can you repair the inner shifter boot?

I bought one of these just a few years ago and the rubber neck has already broken free from the disk that bolts down. Does anyone know of some kind of glue or epoxy that I can use to repair this item?

It's this thing:

I've seen people use these to replace all of the shift boots, not just the one you're talking about.

Sold at any parts store, usually in the performance parts section. Maybe the Help! section too. Like $12 or so.

Well he will still need the inner boot that he has torn since that one you posted only works to protect things from getting inside the car. If he were to remove the torn boot it would result in a shifter coming out of the trans or oil leaking everywhere... But it is a great idea for a torn outer shift boot.

I don't think there would be anything to fix that torn boot besides a new one. I had the same issue before. Make sure your shifter hole is not overfilled with oil since it seems the oil will deteriorate the boot if it over saturates it over time. They really need to make that inner boot better.
