Can the manual opener on the headlight motor be deleted?

I'd like to delete the manual opener on the headlights. Is this possible and still have them to work electrically? Thanks

+1

I'm trying to figure out a logical reasoning for this. None found.

weight savings?

jerd_hambone 11-26-11 03:23 PM

That wouldn't save anything. It's just a knob that turns the headlight motor manually.

it was a joke...

I'd like to run a 90* ic coupler but the opener is in the way. I might have to lower my intercooler to get the 90* to work. Thanks.

it's just a knob, you can't remove the motor that it attaches to... so maybe about 1/2" more clearance.

No it's actually the whole shaft. I'm going to lower or just route the piping differently. I'll post some pics tomorow. In hindsight maybe such a big intercooler was a bad idea.
