Can I reuse this iron? (Water passage)

I torn my engine apart because it had a coolant leak at the front rotor (wet spark plugs). I found some melted parts of the coolant seal on the front rotor so I think that engine overheated at some point. I bought the car with that failure. But then I found that weakend spot on the center iron (rear rotor side). It didnt seemed to leak in the rear rotor before (always dry spark plugs). Its a S5 TII l, had around 110psi compression and ran great, besides the overflowing coolant.

The seal was still one pice there just a little bit melt in the middle. Can I reuse this iron? The rest of the passages on the irons are in perfect condition. There is no hole in that part where the seal could pop through. And why is this passage a lot smaller that the others?
I hope everything is understandable (Im german).

looks like a previously failed coolant seal wall that someone epoxied and is failing again. it can be welded and cleaned up but that repair you have isn't something i would put back into an engine. replace or repair the iron properly with a nickel weld.

Thank you for your fast reply. Ok then then I start searching for a new center iron, sadly rotary cars are not that common in germany.

i would do something about that. Devcon would be a viable alternative to welding, and may actually be a little better, as its less invasive

yeah it sucks but personally i think you're better off paying the shipping to get another.

that iron looks pretty beat up and probably overheated to a rather large extent due to how hard the rotor housing compressed into it leaving the sleeve liner impressions.

Is that red coolant I see? If so, that's is a big no no for rotaries as it eats at the coolant seals. If this coolant was used for a considerable amount of time it could very well be the reason it failed. Use the "green stuff".

I looked over it again and found some more bad things.
https://cimg5.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.rx7...794439a398.jpgRear iron doesnt seem to be too bad
https://cimg6.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.rx7...3778b61665.jpgFront iron has some deep grooves .. So I think I cant reuse this either?
https://cimg7.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.rx7...9e73fea981.jpgAgain front iron
https://cimg8.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.rx7...37248b3dac.jpgThat stuff is everywhere in the coolant system it feels like mud .. I dont know what the preowner used coolant wise
https://cimg9.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.rx7...1154a38fa8.jpgAlso found that groove on the front rotor .. Looks a bit like it melted there
https://cimg0.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.rx7...84935d1102.jpgIn two of the corner seals the black things were melted
What you think about that? Whats the best that I could do? Sry for all that questions Im new to this

being those black plugs are there that engine has probably been rebuilt recently as they don't usually last very long....and not totally needed. Throwing this out as a guess, P.O rebuilt engine, it started, burned coolant like a bitch, he dumped in cooling system sealer (thats what is the "mud" in your cooling system) to try and get it to stop, and sold the car

And I bet the P.o before the P.O overheated the engine........just my guess

that rotot you showed could be reusable with some filing, can't really see any grooves, but the pictures you took are rough angles
