Can I do this?
Um this is kind of a dumb question but oh'well. I notice a lot of people remove their "flash to pass" lights? Is this right? It is the set that is closest to their running lights. What does this do besides feed the engine cold air? I kinda want to do it because I believe they don't work however, can you still drive the car in the rain? I mean you should be able to but I don't know? Anyway, thanks for the help

Well, here's the thing. FTP lenses always work, because all they are, are clear lenses that your headlights can flash thru when you highbeam people without the headlights up.
Why do people remove the passenger side one? Beats the hell out of me, since you've got a bulkhead and a headlight in the way of getting that air into the intake. Now, remove the headlight, and open the bulkhead so you can get more air thru, and sure, that makes sense. Of course, it's not legal for my class to remove the headlights so I'm screwed :D PaulC |
I do it because I like how it looks. There are no performance gains unless you make some sort of ram air setup.

I only take them out if I buy a car with really foggy FTP lenses, otherwise I leave them in.
