Can Gasoline eat gaskets?

ok i have a vacuum leak that seams to becoming from the gasket inbetween the lower intake manifold and the engine. gasoline has been spilt there and most likey sat there. The intake manifold has never been taken apart from the engine. Is it possible that the fuckin gasoline ate the gasket and broke the seal??? this proble has been plaquing me for about 4 months. I had 2 leaks and everytime i though it was only one so i kept trying to fix it even though there was no leak after the 3rd time i put it back together. I did alot of shit under the hood, and have been very fucking pist off... plz help im desperate its an 88 Gtu. GODDAMN

no it cannot. you can tell.. because there are injectors on the lower intake manifold which feed fuel through the manifold and down into the engine. therefore, gas would routinely come into contact with the lower intake gasket.

but since you have a leak there.. you had better replace that gasket!
