Camber bolts

I will have RB springs, with Tokico HP premium blue struts on my 87 base. Will camber bolts hold up in the front?

They work fine, I've used them for years and am really hard on my car and never had any slip out of alignment. I use them in conjunction with adjustable upper strut camber plates. I set the camber bolts for a tad of positive camber for extra wheel to strut clearance, then set the camber plates so I run -1.6* camber. Works well!

How much extra tire/strut clearance can you achieve using this method? .....cheers

I'm just wondering if the bolts would be a good alternative than using camber caster plates.

I tried this on my car. I had Tokico Blues and RB springs on my car as well. Camber bolts are not a substitute for camber plates.

The camber bolts will not give you any significant negative camber. The hub will hit the strut inside the mount and not allow any more movement. You can get positive camber, but not negative camber.

I ended up with camber plates and coilovers, but just a set of camber plates will solve your problem.
