Cable clutch setup
Hey all, I am having some problems with my clutch hydrolic system. I have to replace my master and release cylinder quite often. I think it is my bad luck because I had to do this about 8 times on my 1st gen and I am on number 2 for this 2nd gen.
So, does anyone know if it is possible to retrofit a cable actuated clutch from VW or anyother car that runs a cable clutch system? I think that might be cheaper to replace each time it is needed than buying new parts. Any ideas?? Thanks Carl |
I don't know of anyone that has done this.
Try and and tell us how it went! -Ted |
What in the world are you doing to these things? I've driven hundreds of thousands of miles without ever replacing one. How can your luck be that bad that you'd get all the bad ones the rest of us didn't get? Is water getting in the system somehow? How are they failing?
