Bypassing Heater Core

I am trying to bypass the heater core. I have seen people say to cap the the hose at the end by the firewall. But is there anything else I have to worry about. I've had a coolant leak for far too long.. What are the steps to take?

If this is temporary until you fix your heater core, than why not just connect both hoses together. Have you done a search on this forum? I think there was a similar tread regarding heater delete just several weeks ago.

Chances are someone squished your inlet pipe. Try rounding it back out and installing the correct kind of clamp with just the right amount of squeeze.

I ended up connecting the hoses together. Thanks for the input on this. Much appreciated Happy belated 7s day

I ended up connecting the hoses together. The inlet pipe was damaged a bit like you said. I live in Florida so I don't use the heater at all. Thanks for the input. Happy belated 7s day
