k went to see this rx7 for sale its a 86 GX 2+2
the car had been sittin for 3 months no body damage
188,000 Miles on car rebuild motor
now the weird thing is he said that he build the tranny like there are two first gears. when i drove the car i put in gear and the shifter was goin everywhere i can move it
so i thought its the bnushings which i think it is. then i told him where is the other first gear so he pushes the shifter up to first then left, and i took off but didnt see any diff in performance i think the tranny is gone. what do u guys think.
also he has new dual exhaust.
do u think this car is worth 1700 bucks US??

PS when he started it hella white smoke came out cant remm what that means??

Lots o white smoke = blown water seal in the block am I right guys?

Ok... shifter bushings, and MAYBE a bad tranny.

White smoke = POSSIBLE bad coolant seals (rebuild the motor) or maybe just condensation from sitting. Drive it until it's GOOD and warmed up... (30 minutes or more) then part it overnight. Same result with the white smoke? Pull off the coolant cap on the thermostat housing and start it up... bubbles? Blown motor. Otherwise, it may be ok.
