Buzzer Location in Dash Cluster
 

So, before everyone tells me that I'm an idiot, I'm going to be totally clear and say that this is on a nearly totally stripped and caged race car (Lucky Dog Series, Occasional LeMons contender). I have separate oil temp and oil pressure gauges mounted. The only reason that I have the stock gauge cluster in the car is for speedo and tach. I want to do some more harness pruning, but I want to make sure that I can permanently disable that damn buzzer first. We ran an entire race with it going off due to the water level sensor (which is not installed on the new radiator) not being properly grounded. Well, the ground wiggled loose about an hour in and we didn't bother to fix it for the rest of the day. The car is actually loud enough that with a helmet on you barely notice it at race pace, but I did 14 laps under yellow (an eternity of time) with it going off and I was about to smash the cluster with a hammer once I got out of the car.

In any case, I've been looking for that damn buzzer so that I can kill it, permanently. Yes, I have searched and found many people asking about this. I actually agree with the advice for not doing this on any car that you haven't fully replaced your sensors with another solution. None of the threads had answers however, and I still can't find this f'ing thing. My thought is that if its a little speaker or something that vibrates that I'll just fill it with super glue and stop it from doing such a thing.

From what I remember it's right behind the cluster.

Actually, I think there are two buzzers on the back of the instrument cluster. One is an over rev buzzer and the other is either low coolant or low oil level buzzer.

Yep... it is integrated into the instrument cluster.Might be able to heat up the joints and remove it.

I find the buzzer annoying too although I do appreciate how loud it is when you're ripping down the road. I mean that frequency cuts through everything which is very desirable on a track. I run Defi gauges and the alarm is not as loud as I'd like it to be. When you're in the moment it can go unoticed.

If you ever do lose coolant/oil it's nice to have a nice loud albeit annoying beep to let you know shit's goin' down. If your alarm is loud then that's great. If you have electronic failsafe, even better.

YEAH! My car has 42.000 original miles, and is BEAUTIFUL! 10 seconds after starting the car, the low coolant buzzer goes off, and will not quit Not with a new sensor, not with the sensor's wire grounded,...
If I could kill the buzzer, I could drive the car, and troubleshoot the damn thing later,...

Never had a problem with a false alarm, but about 5 years ago just driving along and the buzzer scared the bejesus out of me. Shut off immediately coasted to the side of the road, opened the door and saw a trail of oil behind the car, oil cooler line split on the bottom.

The buzzer is directly behind the tach. If you remove the tach (a couple screws after the cluster is out), you can see BUZZER printed on the PCB.
