buying a longblock, what new parts will I need?
 
my engine went in my 86 and I'm gonna be gettin another one to toss in if I can find one, but I searched and couldn't find what I was lookin for, I was just wonderin what new parts and what not I'll need to buy to do the swap, if any I ugess...thanks for all the help, this place is the shit

depends on how you purchase the engine. At a minumum on a used engine I would have the injectors professionally cleaned and replace the injector O-rings. Verify the condition of the water pump and replace the pulsation dampner

this is what we did....

engine plus tranny and shipping $1200
yoke swap *turbo II tranny to N/A open diff $80
Custom exhaust system for $300
new engine mounts *old ones busted* $40
blow off valve *someone ganked it off the jdm* 160
new clutch disc *also ganked* $40
brake booster check valve *pulled of a turbo junk car*
use old wire harness in the car
MAF sensor and map sensor for $95 offa the forums
a walbro 255 LPH in tank for $90 *we had a hook up
some fuel line and vacuum line $30


theres just some i'll add more as i think of it

ECU and a TII starter if the engine/tranny doesn't have one on it
