Buying an imported FC

I am currently looking into buying an imported FC from japan.
My question is... is it worht it to buy this car??
how hard will it be to get parts? and fix electrical problems or scan the ECU??
is it too much hassle?

well the car is being imported from another country... you pretty much answered your own question.

well no it has already been imported by a dealer... I would be purchasing from the dealer so i wouldnt have to deal with the import hassle. I am just curious about the mechanical part of it and repairing the cars. I have worked on lots of left hand drive FC's before...but I am wondering if it is any different to get parts and all that stuff for a RHD.

Shouldn't be too much different.

Not to much different. A lot of people buy JDM engines to drop into there USDM FC's so there is parts around.

sounds great. You shouldn't have any more issues than if you bought a North American FC. Parts should be the same (granted you'll end up with a RHD FC) and everything should be ok. You Canadians are the only North Americans that have access to JDM vehicles. If I were you I'd buy another JDM car (the JDM and US/CAN FCs are almost identical) like an all-trac celica or something along those lines.

if thats the case then can you cross it over towards the states?? so maybe i could take it off your hands? =D

i think it needs to meet emissions and other safety standards in order to cross the border from Canada. Basically the Canucks are the onely north Americans that can import cars once they are 15 yrs. old IIRC.
