Buy or Rebuild?

I know this stupid question has been asked one million times however, I am going to inquire again. Should I have my engine rebuilt or just plop a new one in (cheaper option)? Any drawbacks or pluses? And if I do decide to just buy a new one what do you need to add to a J-spec which really intrerests me and if it is a lot what is a really good place to go to buy new engines. Money really isn't a factor however, it might be after my car beats it out of me. Thanks for all the help.

if money isn't really a factor, go with the rebuild. at least you'll get a decent warranty on it. mazda gives a 1 yr/12K warranty with theirs for example

Your friend has a 20B in his FD and he hates it? Where does he live so I can come over there and whip his ASS!

Anyway, get a street ported motor or buy his car with his 20B:rolleyes: if he hates it so much.

Since he hates it so much, he can always give it to me. Seriously though, why does he hate the 20B conversion? Did it upset the handling too much?

He says that he payed too much money for what he could have gotten in a good stage three port. And or some reason the 20b doesn't like the cold weather of maine much and well neither does my 13b so I don't really know. I asked him to give me the car and he told me he was going to go down south with me next year so it was going to stay in his hands. Anyway, I went to start the car today and the oil pressure was up around 45 for the longest of time than decided to rest on 25-30 I know there is a way to check for good pressure by pressing the oil cooler hose? Is that the right thing? Anyway, is this the hose that goes from the rad into the motor, it is quite big and right in plane sight? I would like some help on this subject and I figured out that I have around 1500 dollars so would that get me say a motor from Atkins Rotary with a street port? I don't really need the port however; it is good, cheap power. Thanks for the help:D
