building motor need help
 

building my first motor everything went smooth on the first rotor got the eccentric shaft in and started putting the second rotor together and a side seal broke FML ordered side seals i went to go look at it today and one of the water jacket seals (outer) is to big idk if the vaseline caused it to expand or what but pulled it out threw a different one in for now and wiped down the one that expanded is there any way to get it to shrink back down do i just leave it alone do i cool it off in the fridge do i heat it up or is there anywhere i can buy 1 from its all thats holding me back right now and im pretty pissed please help thanks in advance

Don't put vaseline on water seals during assembly unless you are going to put everything together very quickly. Use Crisco (the white stuff in the blue tin), it won't make them expand like that. well half of the motor is together i used vaseline i think as long as it stays together it should be fine the reason this one stretched is cause i popped the rotor housing off to put some not hardening sealent around the bottom dowels to prevent oil leaking and that one came out the other should be fine i hope x_x

i wish i woulda used crisco from the start damn!!! well you live and learn no one knows everything i guess
