Areas that seem to be affected are in the area of 2K to 3.5K RPM and around 5 to 7K RPM
It feels like its possibly loosing spark or Fuel.. not sure.
Its got new plugs an Wires.
Problem is recent.

But im Completely Stumped.
Any help would be great

Could be grounds. You should clean them. Aaroncake.com has a write-up on it.

Osirus9 10-17-08 02:33 AM

I agree, I would do some re-grounding. especially since messing with the ecu helped I'd say it's an electrical and not a mechanical problem.

O.o should i be able to see the ECU ground on my 7?
Not sure if i need to Remove my Upper intake for this <.< As i fear such things

Check your TPS. Make sure it has no open ranges throughout its operating range. Check it several times repeatedly to ensure it is good.

You might also want to check:
for clogged Cats
function of your secondary injectors
clogged primaries

I agree with wvumtnbkr. I had a similar problem on my car. You have to check the resistance of the TPS while you slowly and steadily increase the throttle. If it's extremely jumpy then you have a problem. It's a difficult test to do because readings from multimeters take a minute to settle and it's hard to be super steady with the throttle.

HAILERS 10-19-08 09:35 AM

Backprobe the green/red output wire and put the meter on VOLTS dc. Watch the reading as you move the throttle up/down. Your looking for *opens* or a reading that goes down as you depress the pedal and vice versa as you let off the pedal.

IF the car has been running good prior to this problem, then it's unlikely its the ECU grounds, since their under the upper intake manifold and would almost have to have been FOOLED with recently for them to go south.
