Broken Rad.+ JB weld=? 4 U

So I had just got my Radiator back from being refurbished when I noticed a crack in the lower hose male end. It only went about an inch into the plastic so I cut off the cracked section and vaccumed out the Rad. to get out any shavings. Anyway now I cant get a hose clamp tight enough to keep it from leaking coolant.

My question to you is, could I just slide a piece of stainless pipe over the nub of plastic left and JB weld the pipe to the plastic?

Im only asking because I have never used JB weld and dont know how it stands up to liquid, heat, or how it bonds to plastic and stainless pipe.

If you guys cant understand what Im asking just let me know, Ill make a drawing in paint or something lol
Thanks

Why not just return it?

I didnt buy it, I had the old one refurbished at some old guy for like $60. He pressure tests, replaced fins, soldered holes, and painted it like new. He even had Factory Mazda stickers that he put on lol, it looks brand new.

I'd try it. What do you have to loose? Im thinking tube on inside might be better. If it fits real nice a clamp on outside, tube inside, should hold.

Just be sure to rough the surface of both peices really well.

A good trick for JBWELD is to bake it, in your case, a heatgun or hair dryer can suffice for 3-5 minutes.

Ive used JBweld on a crack on my thermo housing before, it held...for a while.

Plastic side tanks suck. In fact, plastic just plain sucks.
