Broken injector
In my 88 RX7 we removed the emissions and took out the injectors to see if they were all nasty. When putting the ones back in on the bottom fuel rail we broke the end of one. My car now runs really bad under 3000 rpms and won't hold an idol. Is this what caused it?

Are you talking about the plastic cap on the base of the fuel injector?
That wouldn't matter. If you're talking about the plastic inserts that are not part of the fuel injector, then that's the air bleed valves. Yes, this affects idle quality for the primary (i.e. bottom) fuel injectors. -Ted |

Yes, you need to run a vacuum line to the oil injectors but THEY ARE NOT ACTUALLY CONNECTED TO VACUUM. They are connected to an air source BEFORE the throttle body. |
so were do i find vacuum before the throttle body

Vacuum doesn't exist before the throttle body (well technically it does but we'll leave that one alone for now).
Vacuum/air line diagrams are in the factory service manual. This can be found in the FAQ. |
