Broken diff mount
After a nice fun drive today, was about a mile from my house when I broke my front diff mount. The question i have is, is it safe to drive the car a mile or two to my shop?

I drove with a broken diff mount for 3 months if that answers the question ;)

Totally safe, just do your best to be gentle with it so as to not damage the other mounts, if they're not already worn.

mines been broken for awhile. Just do not launch it and try to shift smooth. I will be fixing mine later this week, but its been almost over a month and I am pretty much used to it at this point

is it safe to just get another oem front diff mount and then pinion snubber it? it shoulds like someone is hitting the floor board of my car with a mallet...

I would recommend the Mazda Competition mount, it's stronger and IIRC cheaper. Coupled with the snubber and you're good to go.

I had more success welding and boxing in the stock mount then the competition ones.
Broke 2 with my LS1. |
