Broke hoses taking engine apart.

Anyone know where I can get a new, aftermarket hose kit ( Vacuum, Fuel, etc. ) for a Series 5 N/A that ISN'T RICEY!

NZConvertible 04-10-02 11:50 PM

When did hoses become ricey?! :D
Vacuum and fuel line can be had cheaply from any auto parts store, just measure up how much you need.
BTW, how did you break ALL your hoses?

I want to replace them all ( 13 year old shit is a bitch to work with ) and hoses became ricey when they color-coordinated with your underbody neons, and colorful interiors. Non-Ricey = BLACK.

The parts store stuff will be just perfect then! :D

Rock on. I gotta connection at O'Riellys. I get shit like that for cost. You wouldn't happen to know the supposed Mopar hose that's a perfect replacment for the coolant line (When you do the TB Mod). Has a 4inch section, then a 90` Bend, and then an 18 inch peice. sounds perfect if you need to keep the BAC ( I do... for now )

Be sure to use an X-acto knife or other sharp blade to carefully slice the ends of the hardened hoses off the fittings, especially if they attach to a plastic pipe. This worked well particurlarly on the plastic vacuum 'spider' that connects the oil nozzles.

Thanks for the tip man.

When you do the TB mod - loose the coolant line & cap the fittings. (Or two years from now you will wish you had.)

I always thought that was part of the TB Mod.

Not if you are still running your BAC. If you are then you need the coolant to flow from the water pump to the BAC and then to the little nipple that sticks up out of the rear housing.

You looking for a hose that does that? Just get the stock hoses. They fit perfectly. Then you join them with a brass barbed connector. Visit Lowe's for that one.
