Breaking Stuff!!!!!
 

Ok, im looking at my port actuators, (because of the 3800 rpm hesitation) and I see that the rear one is moving fine, but the front one is frozen solid. So I reach down to kinda jiggle it and SNAP!!!! There are two plugs that screw into the housing in between the actuators, the top one broke right off. So, in a panic i epoxied it back on so it could at least make contact. The car runs fine, but I'm wondering what the hell this sensor does.
If anyone can tell me, I'd be very appreciative. Or better yet if anyone has a bunch lying around, let me know.

Sounds like you broke a valve on the ACV. What colors are the wires on the one you broke?

Sorry to take so long to reply. It's the plug right next to where the hose from the air pump goes into the housing between the actuators. The colors are blk/grn and blk as far as i can tell, they are a little worse for wear and the color is really hard to discern.

Sounds like the solenoid valve on the ACV. You can get another from a parts car, or buy the complete ACV (expensive). Either way, the valve just unscres and can be easily replaced. Be careful not to loose the little plunger that will fall out when you remove it.
