Braver than smart?

I posted the following in 2nd gen tech support, but don't wanna take the chance that some guru may miss it there so...

OK, after procrastinating for a month or so, I pulled the injectors out of my 87 TII yesterday & just droppped them in the mail to RC Engineering for cleaning. My plan is to remove all the stuff I don't NEED to have on the motor. I plan on removing & blocking off the BAC, ACV & split-air pipe, EGR, sub-zero assist. I have a 91 turbo, so the twin-scroll stuff goes. Actually all the solenoids are going (the only one I'm worried about is the fuel pressure regulator, but RETed told me I could just run vacuum straight to the regulator). I'm trying to plan in my head what still needs vacuum signal routed to it. I'd like to eliminate the spiders while I'm at it, too. I can think of: boost sensor/gauge, wastegate actuator, BOV, FPR, & the vac lines for the OMP. Am I missing something? I marked just about all the lines when I was pulling the upper manifold/TB, but the ACV is staying off. I'm trying to picture in my mind the simplest routing so I can get to everything if need be.

When I pulled averythig off yesterday I was in that mechanic's "zone". You know, the "Ican do this, how hard can it be" mode. Now that I've slept, I'm becoming worried that I may have crippled my noble steed. Like I said, more brave than smart.:)

Advice, comments?

heh, when I stripped my engine to the bone, rebuilt it and put it back together... I forgot to.. umm.. mark ANYTHING =) now it's running great, and I am very happy that I did it... If I can pull this off trust me, you will have no problem =)

Just look at vacuum diagrams and all that... Sorry I don't know much about BACs or whatnot... most the stuff on my car that wasn't needed was already taken off.. so I havn't had the same experience...

Why taking out the spider? going to run premix I assume? what is the benefits of doing that? I would think that would be anoying putting the right amounts of fuel oil ...

oh, and paint stuff while you have it apart =) It adds flavor=) I painted my dynamic chamber to match my exterior paint.. Blue.. I like it and am glad I did it..

No, I'm not taking out the spider for the OMP injectors. I'm talking about the vacuum spider between the solenoids & the ACV. I ran across a color coded vac diagram for non-turbo somewhere. I may try to use the diagram from the 88 online manual & see if I can color it. Don't know if I have anything other than Acrobat for messing with pdf files, though.

here is an 86-88 color coded one I used for my rebuild..
