Brake Warning Light Comes On During Braking

ok get this ive had my car for a while and all my idiot turn on when you first start the car like usual and everything. but suddenly today everyonce and a while one of the lights turns on when i brake...its the one that says brake (or stop) and has the picture of what looks like a brake light. the idiot light is red.

the only reason im asking is because this is all of a sudden. should i be worried? or is it supposed to do that and my shitty suspension shook the wires back together?

thanks?

dave

check your brake fluid level, if its just starting to get low you can get that. Otherwise look for a leak. Only thing I can think of.

oh really?? that makes sense since my left tail light assembly was ripped out a week ago by this bitch....it seemed fine two days ago when i had my friend check the lighst though....i should check again

is that the only reason it would be on though?

I had the same problems... mine was caused by corrosion in the bulb sockets.

If you looked in your owners manual, or searched the 2nd Gen section for "STOP warning light", you'd see this means you have a blown brake bulb. If it's intermitant you may have dirty contacts in one of the bulb holders.

The BRAKE warning light warns of low brake fluid.
