Brake pedal flutter
I think my brakes are kinda f***ed up
When braking at high speeds my brake pedal flutters a little and the steering wheel shakes and the car kinda jumps a little when comming to a full stop. What do you guys think this could be?? Even during normal cruising the steering wheel shakes a bit. I thnk it could be that my suspension bushings are worn or somthin |
The shaking when you brake is caused by warped brake rotors. If they are relatively new and thick, they can be turned or machined back to being true - for only about $10 each. If they are quite worn, then it's time for new front brakes.
The shaking when the car is just rolling is probably an unbalanced front wheel. That, or even a bit of suspension play, but more likely the wheel. All of this together - the rotors, the wheel and the suspension will make for quite an uncomfortable ride. The brakes and the wheels can be done quickly and inexpensively, the suspension can be a bit pricier though. |
cool man thanks yeah i think its the rotors they must be pretty old. im gonna get them checked out asap
