brake hard line fix?

91 na

i did a search and it seems people are indicating that replacing the entire hard line is the way to go, which makes sense overall but since my situation is basically just the stripping of the bolt (i used a flare nut wrench + liquid wrench) i was curious if anyone had some insight into the best way to approach fixing this issue.

rather than buying all new lines and bending/flaring that, is it ok to just to cut and replace the nut connector and reflare the end?

in either case i'm looking at at least the cost of the tools to get this done, since i don't happen to know anyone with a flaring tool. does anyone have a suggestion for that from experience?

thanks,
-b

technically no, but I did that to 2 brake lines on my old cherokee and drove it like that for like 8 years, now I dont drive it anymore but it still holding fine.

The flaring tool is cheap, you can buy a really simple one for less then $20.
