Brake Fluid Pressure Switch - help ASAP please

I'm swapping in a new master cylinder...I've got it apart and pulled the brake fluid pressure switch, and it's been cut by the previous owner or some a$$ that did brake work on it before.

Is this essential? I would like it to work but I have no idea what it does other than tells you if there is a fault somewhere...

What should I do with it?

I found the connector, I am happy it was there at least. I pulled the spade terminals out of the connector with my nifty SK Electrical screwdriver kit (yep I'm nerdy). I am going to re-solder it and wire her back in.

So maybe I should start a new topic, what exactly does this brake fluid pressure switch do??

If it's the one near the base of the reserviour, it's not a pressure switch, it's a LEVEL switch operated by the float inside the master cylinder reserviour, to let you know brake fluid is low.

It's not the level switch, it's the pressure switch on the bottom of the master, not the reservoir.

All set now.

Evidently TRON has AAS (auto adjusting suspension control system). It uses a pressure sensor on the brake master cylinder. If he does not have AAS, he wasted his time connection ghe wire up to it.

I didn't bother with it...I just installed KYB AGX at all 4 corners...
