brake booster check valve
 

hey i swapped out the na brake booster for a tII brake booster. Am i able to use the n.a check valve with the tII booster

Yes you can..but if I remember correctly(and I do)the N/A booster has a curved pipe and a "nipple" that you put the Rubber pipe(that contains the Check valve Inside it) on.The TII booster has a small pipe and nipple extending from the booster..You are going to Have to Extend the Pipe to attach it to the steel line that is on teh Firewall(and runs over to the vacuum source at the Passenger side of the Engine).

I may be wrong since it's been a long time since I made the conversion myself... but does the N/A require the check valve in the vacuum hose?

The Little Rubber Hose ON the Brake Booster is the Part that has the Check valve.It is located INSIDE the Little Rubber hose..Now,the Outlet pipe ON the N/A Booster has a little Curve on it.The TII booster is just Straight..you CAN use the Same Little Rubber hose that came off the N/A Booster,BUT you will have to add a Piece of Hose to Make it go onto that STEEL LINE,That runs across the Firewall and connects to the Engine..BY THE WAY,the five lug Booster and the TII booster are the SAME SIZE..the Only Booster that is Different in Size is the FOUR LUG booster...If you are Still Confused then I Suggest that you download the Parts Manual Online..and Check the Parts..you will get What I am Trying to tell you After you see the Way that the parts Coincide with each other..it just isn't Plug and Play.
