I got my motor in today s4 jdm t2 into 87 base, i can hear the turbo spool up but the bov wont work(greddy rs-bran new) the vacuum line is hooked to the itake manifold where the stock one was hooked to- and i adjusted it softer and harder, nothin'. any one know what the hell?

Hooked up straight into the fitting with no T's, right?

are you just boosting mildly?

it may not blow off until you try pushing the turbo and RPMs higher in the upper ranges.

jdmrbust 10-02-05 02:59 AM

i dont know how to post pics- i will if you tell me how- and my tach isnt working right i think i revved to maybee 5k and i only drove it 2 blocks mildly probably under 4k, but there is nothing at all

some blow off valves are not very sensitive to rotary vacuum levels so they tend to only blow off under hard driving situations. maybe someone who has one of these BOVs can confirm or deny this.

This is a genuine GReddy unit?
Or the cheap ass ebay knock-off?

here are the pics- thanks for telling me how

Hmmm...everything looks kosher.

You see the ~1/2" thick diameter hose right under the BAC valve right behind the BOV?
CLAMP BOTH ENDS!
This stupid hose tends to leak and blow off under higher boost (remember stock is 6 - 8psi).
I dunno why Mazda didn't put clamps on the damn thing. :P
